    The food!

The majority of the people of Ikaria have their own 'mpostani' = small garden where they grow fruit and vegetable. Many of the taverns offer locally sources food. If you are a meat lover, goat and the local goats cheese are very popular. Make sure you try the delicious honey as well!

    The life!

One of the elements that contribute in Ikarians longevity is the communal way of life. There are plenty of opportunities to socialize in the island. In the morning as you are drinking your coffee, you can find yourself exchanging views about daily tasks, politics and social issues. When you have your lunch or dinner you can meet friends and sit and chat for hours. *Ikarians like the night! From the dinner table to the cafe or the bar, conversations might start in the evening and end next morning!

    The secret!

One of the reasons we love Ikaria is its pace. This is a place where time stands still. We invite you to be immersed in this culture. To breath, to notice your surrounding, connect with nature and its creatures.

    Proposed Activities:

We will be based next to Messakti beach. One of the most popular beaches of the North shore of Ikaria, where Ikaria Surf School is located. If you love the water and are interested in experiencing dancing with the waves, book a class! If the Gods of the sea are in a relaxed mood, you can also rent a SUP/ Stand Up Paddle board and enjoy floating on the water.
